We've got a crack problem
Crack has become an epidemic that eats away at the fabric of our society. Oh, and we hear the drug is bad as well. DS Lite owners have been growing in numbers, complaining about mysterious cracks that are appearing on the hinges of their Nintendo handheld.
Nintendo has heard loud and clear. And according to Kotaku, they're doing the right thing and offering to fix the DS Lites free of charge. Here's the official word from Nintendo:
"In the U.S., the reported number of small cosmetic cracks in the plastic hinge of DS Lite systems represents less than 0.02 percent of the total units sold. This cosmetic issue in no way impacts the gameplay or integrity of the DS Lite. Nintendo stands behind the quality of our products and encourages DS Lite owners to contact our Customer Service Department if they are not happy with the functionality of their systems."
