Wii "friend me" onslaught is coming
Wii will use the popular Friend Code system to hook up players across the globe, according to a Nintendo web page that has since been pulled.
Eurogamer salvaged the page that nobody was supposed to read, and yet everybody did read and reports that the text read: "Nintendo has your online safety in mind. Thanks to our unique Friend Code system, you can control whom you play with online. Playing online is a great way to connect and reconnect people you want to play games with!"
For those of you not familiar with DS Friend Codes, here's the lowdown: Friend Codes are a 12 digit code that identifies your specific machine and allows players on Nintendo Wi-Fi to make lists of players that the gamer would like to compete with.
