This is a demo produced by LucasArts, originally shown behind closed doors at E3, to showcase the studio's new Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) technology, which was developed by Pixelux Entertainment. Couple DMN's ability to simulate material reaction to real-world physics with the animation effects featured in NaturalMotion's Euphoria engine, and LucasArts has a incredible opportunity to re-establish the Star Wars franchise. Too bad this is just a scripted tech demo and not an actual game.
