Filed under: Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, BusinessThe keynote speakers have been announced for the 2006 Tokyo Games Show: Yoichi Wada of Square Enix and "Krazy" Ken Kutaragi of Sony. Kutaragi will give a presentation entitled "Next Generation Entertainment Made by the PS3" while Wada gives a more general speech entitled "The Game Industry's Potential and Problems" (Wada, aside from being president of Square Enix, is also the chairman of Computer Entertainment Software Association, who organizes the Tokyo Games Show). However, quite possibly bigger news is who is not speaking: Satoru Iwata, president of Nintendo. Iwata has spoken at the Tokyo Games Show for the past two years; last year he revealed the new controller (affectionately known as the Wiimote). As Nintendo announced official launch details (date, price) in September, one predominant theoryis that Nintendo will have a SpaceWorld this year. The Nintendo-hosted trade show has not happened since 2001.The keynotes will be given September 22, one day before the floor opens to the public.[via Nintendo Wii Fanboy]Read | Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | CommentsSPONSORED BY: Age of Empires III - Real-Time Strategy Game Control a European power on a quest to colonize and conquer the New World.
