The Age fears Wii
With all of the negative press PS3 is getting, it's not so bad when once in a while Nintendo gets a Wii bit of criticism, even if we don't particularly agree.
Screen Play, the gaming blog of Australia's The Age, recently opined that "A successful Nintendo is great for gamers and the entire interactive entertainment industry, but a dominant Nintendo is not," when analyzing the upcoming Wii.
It's a fine line between success and dominance, isn't it?
The argument appears to be that Nintendo is still secretive and doesn't share information with third parties. "Not only do third-parties have to contend with the strength of franchises like Mario and Zelda for shelf space and consumer dollars, but they also have little assistance from Nintendo, who is famous for its secrecy, even within its own organisation," sighed Screen Play.
