Post subject: Nintendo Reveals New Label for Nintendo DS Games |

Nintendo unveils a new game label as part of its effort to broaden its appeal and capitalize on the success of titles like Nintendogs and Brain Age. First titles will include Sudoku, Magnetica, and Big Brain Academy.
n response to the stratified state of the DS gaming market, Nintendo has made a move to better differentiate its newer casual titles from its more traditional games.
The new label is called "Touch Generations," and the brand will go on Nintendo DS titles that are aimed at a more casual, mass-market audience. The first three games to fall under the brand will be brain teaser Big Brain Academy (June 5th), puzzle game Magnetica (June 5th), and Sudoku Gridmaster (June 26th).
Four other games, already released, will also get the Touch Generations treatment: brain trainer Brain Age, virtual pet Nintendogs, retro puzzler Tetris DS, and True Swing Golf will allow receive the Touch Generations moniker from now on.
Why "Touch Generations"? According to Nintendo's press release, because the games "can be enjoyed by hard-core gamers and beginners alike."
The Touch Generations brand will include titles that anyone can pick up and play, even with little or no experience with video games."
