Wii still can't believe it for ourselves, but PlayStation 3 is getting a much needed price cut. It appears that the entire planet revolting against the astonishly high price for PS3 has resulted in Sony taking a second look and slashing prices. Don't worry, Wii is still cheaper.
The cut applies only towards Japan at the moment, but there's whispers that it may apply towards other territories as well.
When Sony previously announced the price of the 20 gigabyte PlayStation 3, the company stated that the price would be 62,790 yen. That was much, much higher than Xbox 360, which currently sells in Japan for 39,795 yen. Nintendo Wii will sell for 25,000 yen.
