Post subject: Red Steel "Working On" Nintendo Wii Speaker Use |

Wii like what we hear
Red Steel is one of the most anticipated Wii titles, and thankfully will be available at launch. Oddly enough though, according to an interview with Nintendo Europe, Ubisoft only recently found out about the Wii's built in speaker.
"We just discovered the built-in controller speaker feature around E3 and we are now working on how to use it for single and multiplayer," said Marie-Sol Beaudry, Red Steel's producer.
And Beaudry says that the entire game revolves around Wii's unique Wii-mote.
"The whole concept of the game is built around the controller and the fact that you feel you have the weapon in your hand. As it is a new way of using and feeling a sword or a gun, the player has to master it. That is why the game takes place in Asia where the notions of mastery in combat are very important. A gun requires the player to become more and more precise in his shooting whereas with the sword, you will learn several techniques of fighting."
