Nintendo makes smaller rumble cartridge available in Japan.

May 29, 2006 - Looking to get some rumble on your DS Lite, but worried about having a giant Game Boy Advance cartridge sticking out of your unit? Nintendo has the answer: a special rumble cartridge made to work exclusively with the DS Lite.
The new cartridge has been made available via Nintendo Japan's website. The unit costs 1,200 yen, and requires 450 yen for shipping throughout Japan. The standard DS rumble cartridge is also available through the site for the same price.
Currently, only three titles make use of the rumble feature: Mario & Luigi RPG 2, Metroid Prime Pinball (which includes the standard DS rumble cartridge) and Shunkan Puzloop. Metroid Prime Hunters will join the group at its Japanese release on 6/1.
We presume that Nintendo of America will make the DS Lite version of the rumble cartridge available in America when the DS Lite ships. For now, interested parties residing in Japan should check out Nintendo's Online purchase page.
